Six residents of Skouries have been arrested yesterday by police. Four of the six, all residents of the village of Ierissos detained by police on Thursday following a protest against the mining projectand remained in detention at the Thessaloniki police headquarters. After an investigation in the houses of the arrested, police found rifles, flares and fireworks. The lawyers of the four people met today with a prosecutor in Thessaloniki and with representatives of Hellas Gold company. Other representatives by the local initiative against the gold mines refused any talks with Hellas Gold company. According last minute information the trial for the four residents is postponed for 17th of January 2014.
