Government spokesman Simos Kedikoglou has announced few hours ago, the government’s decision to shut down public television and radio broadcaster. More than 2600 employees got fired . All political parties including the smaller parties of the government coalition do not support the move. The official reasons explained in the statement of Simos Kedikoglou was the corruption and mismanagement. At the moment thousands of people are arriving in front of the main building of public television to express their solidarity with the employees. Special forces are removing the transmission antennas in Parnitha mountain around Athens. The political organizations of the left pointed out that last source of “objective information” in the country has gone.
