Golden Dawn receives support from the Free America Rally, which says it is opposed to ‘government, media, genocide, liberalism, rationalism, pacifism, consumerism, capitalism, marxism, degeneracy, brigandage, egalitarianism, democracy, usury, & whatever else comes up’
American racist and fascist groups have been holding demonstrations this month outside Greek consulates in support of neonazi Golden Dawn. Behind the commemorations is the white supremacist American Freedom Party and a front organisation it sponsors, the Free America Rally. On its website, the Free America Rally claims it is opposed to “government, media, genocide, liberalism, rationalism, pacifism, consumerism, capitalism, marxism, degeneracy, brigandage, egalitarianism, democracy, usury, & whatever else comes up”.
Opponents of the groups say they are a mix of white nationalism “with an American brand of fascist populism” which aim, among others, to deport all non-whites from the US.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, supporters from groups can be seen commemorating two Golden Dawn members who were murdered last month a gun attack on a party office in Athens.
The video shows a street protest, attended by a handful of individuals, outside the Greek consultate in Boston. It also shows a commemoration that appears to have taken place in room in a private house in Oregon. On the wall, three flags – a Greek flag flanked by two Golden Dawn ones displaying the party’s meander and Celtic cross symbols
Beneath the flags is a small board containing the slogan “White pride worldwide”, photographs of the murdered Golden Dawn members, flags and emblems. Before that are some flowers and candles arranged in the shape of a rune and Golden Dawn’s meander symbol. At one point in the video, a man wearing a kilt can be seen playing the bagpipes. At another stage, a number of people gather in a semicircle to toast revenge on the “cocksuckers” who carried out the attack.
“We will have revenge. This will not go unanswered,” a man says.
At various points in the video, a man can be heard singing the song “Victory day”, composed by the neonazi band Prussian Blue.
